Ophthalmologists from the University of Wisconsin have been studying eye diseases and offering specialized patient care since 1925. Our staff includes sub-specialists who are national leaders in treating glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, eye tumors, macular degeneration and other eye diseases, and our opticians and ophthalmologists also provide routine and preventive eye care. Whatever your referral needs may be, our UW doctors work closely with local eye care professionals, extending the access to eye care that patients from your practice can receive.
In addition to developing sight-saving tests and treatments, department members are also studying the way the eye changes with age, improving corneal transplantation and providing advanced training for ophthalmologists throughout the country.
We are available for consults and are completing new patient evaluations both virtually and in person. We have dramatically increased our capacity for telehealth and video visits, and we are pleased to be able to use this platform as we continue to partner with you in caring for patients.
